How to Install Free SSL in cPanel

Installing an SSL certificate ensures encrypted communication between your website and visitors. Most hosting providers offer free SSL certificates through AutoSSL or Let's Encrypt.

Step 1: Log into cPanel

1. Access your hosting account.
2. Click Login to cPanel.

Step 2: Open SSL/TLS Status

1. Navigate to the Security section.
2. Click SSL/TLS Status.

Step 3: Run AutoSSL

1. Select your domain(s).
2. Click Run AutoSSL.
3. Wait for the process to complete.

Verify Installation

• Visit your website using https://
• Check for the padlock icon in the browser.

If SSL does not activate immediately, allow up to 15 minutes for processing.
